You and Disease – You Have a Choice

Many diseases in this day and age are created by our present diet and lifestyle. Yes, some are passed down through our genes, but the ones I’m talking about are ones that we create in our own bodies, such as Type II Diabetes, Clogged Arteries, High Blood Pressure, Anxiety, Obesity, Blood Sugar Imbalances, and the list goes on and on.

Many people choose low quality food sources that offer very little in the way of nutrients and these people are basically starving their bodies of antioxidants, vitamins and minerals, Omega 3’s, and other essential fatty acids and of course enzymes. We eat a lot of refined, synthetic, processed, genetically modified foods that have been sprayed with chemicals too numerous to list. We put chemicals on our skin, our largest organ in the body that absorbs these chemicals and our body can’t seem to detoxify them. Our bodies are bombarded daily with an overdose of these chemicals from our food supply and our water supply and our air supply. Our bodies pay the price by slowly degenerating and we act surprised when we are diagnosed with a Disease. We have been thrown into a belief system that it is normal to become sick as if it is a natural part of life, but for many people this is simply not true. Many diseases are completely preventable through good nutrition and regular exercise. Every time you ignore your bodies health needs, you are taking one more step closer to degenerative disease and it is your choice.

Many people are stressed out and have poor eating habits, but don’t realize that the mind, body and spirit are all connected to good health. If one is out of balance, the whole body is affected. We each have control of what we put into our body, unless we are cooped up in a hospital bed or unless we are a child that is being fed by their parent.

We can make healthy choices, everyday, and improve our health, or we can choose to ignore healthy choices and make excuses. What will you choose? When are you going to decide to take control over your own body? It all begins by making a decision to help yourself.

Remember, “Not making a decision is also making a decision”.
